Interior Stories is an interior design and renovation studio in Milan. We guide residential projects from concept through design, procurement and construction support, from a single kitchen or bathroom to a whole house.

Free consultation
We start with a conversation about your home, your life and your budget. Then we introduce how we work and what we can bring to the project.

Proposal
You receive a formal proposal with an itemised list of the services your project needs, so scope and fees are clear before we begin.

Concept
Mood boards, layouts and material palettes define the colour, texture and style of each space.

Design and drawings
Floor plans, technical drawings and full material and product specifications, in English and Italian, ready for builders and craftsmen.

Procurement and site support
We select and source products and furniture, and support the build on site or remotely until the project is complete.
What we do
Spatial planning
Digital floor plans that balance form and function, with attention to views, storage and the way you live in each room.
Concept creation
Mood boards and layouts built around colours, textures and materials that set the style of the whole project.
Technical drawings
We prepare a construction package complete with plumbing, electrical, wall, furniture, lighting and ceiling plans so that everything is built as designed.
Building support
On-site and remote guidance to coordinate the execution of design details, project deliveries and key milestones with all professionals on site
Furniture
Selection and layout of loose and fixed furniture, with technical drawings for custom pieces.
Kitchen design
Bespoke, Industrial or hybrid cabinetry, with full specifications of all appliances and finishes.
Bathrooms
Technical documentation, including tile and plumbing layouts as well as a full specification package of all products, finishes and fittings.
Lighting design
A study of natural and artificial light, with a reflected ceiling plan, specified products and associated technical sheets.
Cost planning and tracking
A detailed cost schedule which tracks every quote, offer and purchase of products and finishes, so you always know where the budget stands.
Art direction
Selection and specification of accessories, decorative pieces and artworks, and the final styling touches that complete each room.
Where we work
Based in Milan, we work across Italy, with a preference for projects within five hours of the studio. We work on site and remotely, and we welcome clients from abroad, including expats and owners of holiday homes who live elsewhere. Drawings and documents are provided in English and Italian.

What types of projects do you take on?
Residential projects first: complete renovations of houses and apartments, as well as single-room kitchen or bathroom projects. We also design retail and hospitality spaces, such as boutiques and studios.
Do you only design, or also follow the works?
Both. We cover the whole life of a project, from concept to design, procurement and construction support. Your proposal itemises the services you need.
Where does Interior Stories work?
Mainly across Italy, with a preference for projects within five hours of Milan. Projects abroad are considered case by case.
Can you work remotely?
Yes. We work on site and remotely, and provide drawings and documents in English and Italian.
I am an expat or I live abroad. Can you help me renovate a home in Italy?
Yes. We welcome clients who have moved to Italy, retired here or own a holiday home while living abroad, and we guide them through materials, craftsmen and the building process.
How does the first consultation work?
The first consultation is free. We talk through your project, visit the space where possible and then send you a formal proposal.
