Located one hour north of Venice, in the lush countryside of Sacile, is the historic home of a young and vibrant family of 5. The design and build includes a full renovation of two of the three buildings, leaving the third as a future project.

A complete spatial study transformed the once closed off and divided ground floor layout into an open plan entertainer’s dream. The repositioning of the main entry allowed for a sense of arrival with the addition of mud, cloak and powder rooms.

Behind the entry sits a large kitchen complete with butler’s pantry, rustic beams, original stone work and milk coloured cabinetry. The existing arch framed windows were restored to maximise light and views across the orchard.

The First Floor focuses on a unique 80m² master wing; a parents’ retreat boasting vineyard and orchard views on three sides. The original pitched roof and old beams are celebrated through soft directional lighting. Below, a series of freestanding sculptural boxes contain the walk-in wardrobes, powder room and twin bathroom.

Each bathroom has its own character. The principal bathroom opens onto the master bedroom, with a freestanding oval bath, walnut shelving and a custom vanity. The guest bathroom pairs soft beige tiles with a feature-tiled shower and copper wall lights, the children’s bathroom plays with blue mosaic and dragonfly wallpaper, and the powder room is wrapped in botanical paper with bronze details.
